چکیده

There can be a lot of QoS parameters that can improved in IP MPLS network Backbone such as bandwidth, CPU utilization, memory requirement, resources distribution and database optimization of each router in the backbone. In this paper, we have optimized database of each router by involving DR/BDR election on each interface so that all involved routers use that elected DR router as to communicate hello packets instead of communicating with all routers and hence database size of each router will remain small and require less memory and CPU utilization over MPLS backbone. S imulation results have been verified using MRTG, Olive/Vmware using conventional IP, MPLS without TE and MPLS using TE capability. Index Term-MPLS, VPNs, GGSN, SGSN, IS-IS , OSPF, IBGP, EBGP, RSVP, LDP, BGP, EBGP, DR/BDR. MRTG, PE, CE, P, MPBN

Traffic Engineering and Network Management System for QoS-Guaranteed DiffServ Provisioning

This paper proposes an integrated traffic engineering and management system for DiffServ-over-MPLS services in Next Generation Internet (NGI). Using the proposed traffic engineering functions for DiffServover-MPLS network, the Internet service provider (ISP) can easily configure Diffserv-over-MPLS traffic flows among customer’s distributed sites, and can provide guaranteed end-to-end QoS by con...

Traffic Engineering with MPLS in the Internet

This paper discusses Traffic Engineering with Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) in an Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) network. In this paper, we first briefly review MPLS, Constraint-based Routing and enhanced link state Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs) to provide a background for Traffic Engineering. We then discuss the general issues of designing an MPLS system for Traffic Engineering....

Using policy-based MPLS management architecture to Improve QoS on IP Network

Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is in the process of standardization by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). It is regarded as a technology for traffic engineering and QoS in IP-networks. we proposed a IETF Policy-based Network Management Framework and policies with MPLS specific classes. It uses a three-level policy architecture, which includes managing on device, network, and ser...

MPLS Traffic Engineering in ISP Network

Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is an innovative and vibrant technology. The most famous applications of MPLS technology are MPLS VPN, MPLT Traffic engineering and MPLS QoS and Any Transport over MPLS (AToM). This study addressed only MPLS Traffic engineering, which is one of the driving factors of deploying MPLS in service provider networks. This research consists of two main sections; i...

QoS Dynamic Routing in Content Delivery Networks

Recently, much research in quality of service (QoS) routing has focused on the unicast communication technique. However, Content Delivery Network (CDN) approach becomes popular because CDN enables effective and inexpensive improvement of Internet service quality. Therefore, we analyze in this paper a network processing two kinds of demands: content demands to CDN servers and standard unicast de...

Implementation of Traffic Engineering and Addressing QoS in MPLS VPN Based IP Backbone

With increasing popularity and ever emerging business needs there was an immense focus to improve the Internet world and to provide guarantee for service delivery. Simplest example for this case is VoIP where two subscribers make a voice call through MPLS based backbone. The end subscribers should have similar quality as that of POTS. Subscribers will expect a real time conversation with limite...
